Funding Provided to Service Providers to Assist in Design and Development of New Product(s) Manufacturer or Compounder Qualification Criteria: • Committed to utilizing a minimum of at least five percent California recycled rubber to replace virgin rubber, EPDM, plastic, aggregate or other raw material (also referred to as feedstock conversion). • Located in California. • Sales in excess of $1 million dollars in prior year. • In business three full years. • Potential to increase use of tire rubber and sales of product(s). • Committed to commercializing product(s) within 24 months. Benefits to the Manufacturer or Compounder: • Provide technical assistance by manufacturing experts (e.g. compounders, certification and manufacturing specialists). • Material testing by accredited labs and field testing. • Product Certification Assistance. • Introductions and collaboration with tire-derived material (TDM) feedstock suppliers and compounders. • Future California manufacturer monetary incentives of $0.10 - $0.50 per pound for using California recycled rubber in proven commercialized products.
